It has been officially announced that Adi Shankar, showrunner of Netflix's Castlevania, is producing a new Netflix animated series based on the Devil May Cry game series.
This was done at Netflix's DROP 01 virtual event, and a short teaser was also released showing a smiling Dante shooting dual pistols (presumed to be ebony and ivory), tumbling, and dodging attacks from an invisible enemy.
The exact release date of this Netflix animation series has not been announced yet, but Netflix has added an interesting description of the animation that is more than enough to get fans excited.
“In the animation based on Capcom's famous game, Dante, an orphaned demon hunter, is caught up in an evil force trying to open a portal between the two worlds, not knowing that the fate of the human world and the demon world hangs on his neck. “It deals with stories.”
